A-American Self Storage has its roots firmly planted in entrepreneurial history. Edmund C. Olson, our founder, entered the construction business in 1956. In 1973, he saw a need for quality mini storage, and built his first storage units. Today, A-American hosts more than 6 million square feet of self storage.

After perfecting his understanding of the mini storage business, Mr. Olson began to focus on the company's growth in 1991. Since that time, this independently run organization has grown to be the 9th largest storage company in America, with facilities in Nevada, Illinois, Hawaii, and California. Today, Craig T. Olson carries on the family tradition as President of A-American. The company is a well respected leader in the self storage industry.

At A-American, we take pride in participation in the community around us. The company is involved in numerous philanthropic organizations. Our founders also provide scholarships that help to raise awareness of the contribution of entrepreneurs to American business and society.
